Role: Welsh Organiser (North Wales)
Salary: £46,346.42 (gross) per annum, with a fixed sum allowance of £2,764. There is the ability to progress to £50,913.46 over the next 2 years.
This is a Regular Driver Role so also attracts a car allowance of £5000 (gross) per annum, subject to internal checks.
Location: Prestatyn
Duration: Permanent role (subject to full driving licence and compliant vehicle)
The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Welsh Organiser. The post-holder will be responsible for building capacity and structure across Wales to enable local activists to deliver effective campaigns, with the specific aim of winning elections at all levels - including Senedd, Westminster, Police and Crime Commissioner, local government and by-elections - alongside ensuring the effective operation of Labour Party and Welsh Labour structures in Wales.
The post holder will be part of the Welsh Labour team, responsible to the General Secretary Wales and line managed by the Head of Field and Operations, working within the Welsh management structure and the devolved political context of Wales. There are three Welsh Organiser posts in total: one based from the North Wales office and two based from the South Wales office, with all post holders expected to work flexibly across Wales as campaign priorities require.
The successful candidate will have
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles
- Experience of using digital tools to campaign
- Ability to organise in person and virtual events, such as a training event or gala dinners
- Ability to motivate and provide inspiring leadership to volunteers and campaigners
