The Project Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Programme Director in delivering the G20&G7 Health and Development Partnership initiative strategic objectives across logistical, administrative, research and communications tasks. This role will require some travel.
Key Responsibilities
Project management
- Support the Programme Manager and Executive Director in executing the Company’s strategic objectives in relation to the G20&G7 Health and Development Partnership.
- Provide support and research in key policy areas and prepare reports relating to relevant policy matters.
- Provide support services in relation to stakeholder outreach activities.
- Draft letters, agendas, memo’s and other documents as directed.
- Support the team in maintaining project activity pipelines.
- Attend meetings (in-person and virtual) and take minutes, record action points and agreed follow up activities.
- Provide support in the preparation and execution of strategic events, delegations and stakeholder attendance at relevant events.
- Independently maintain a good understanding of policy areas relative to the work of the partnership.
- Maintain an exemplary approach to accuracy and presentation in all areas of work.
- Provide administrative support and logistical assistance relevant to the events (particularly for the H20 Summit in September).
Person Specification
Essential Skills
- Have excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and accomplish tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Have an emerging understanding of project management skills and protocols including effective task management and prioritisation.
- Have experience providing administrative support and be able to effectively manage calendars across different timezones.
- Be aware of their interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information.
Desirables Skills
- Have an understanding of the G20&G7 Health and Development Partnership’s work and strong commitment toward global health, development issues, gender equality, climate change mitigation and the Sustainable Development Goals in general.
- Be a team player with the ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds.
