Job Details
As Engagement Assistant, you’ll play a key role in bringing our public affairs strategy to life. You’ll help shape compelling content, using your knowledge of how policy is made and shaped by national and local government.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in public affairs or higher education who is keen to develop and contribute to a broad range of activity in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Working closely with the wider policy team, including the Head of Public Affairs, you’ll contribute to high-quality outputs that support engagement with policy influencers. You’ll help shape content for university colleagues, like policy briefings, ensuring messages are clear and easy to understand for a range of audiences.
The University of Manchester’s public affairs function sits within the Policy@Manchester team. Our mission is to advance the agenda of the university, and the higher education sector, by working in coalition with a range of policy makers and shapers from government, our city region, think tanks, business and civil society.
