A part-time Parliamentary Intern is sought to support a busy parliamentary office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Parliament, supporting legislative, research, and communications work.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with parliamentary research, briefings, and policy work
Monitor debates, select committees, and legislative developments
Draft correspondence, speeches, and written materials
Support preparation for debates, questions, and parliamentary interventions
Assist with inbox management and stakeholder engagement
Attend meetings, briefings, and events in Westminster where appropriate
Provide administrative support to the wider team
Support communications work, including drafting content and monitoring media
Undertake ad hoc tasks as required to support the parliamentary office
Person Specification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent research and analytical abilities
High level of organisation and attention to detail
Interest in UK politics and parliamentary processes
Ability to work accurately under pressure
Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn
Previous experience in a political, research, or communications environment (desirable but not essential)

Interview/Start Dates
Shortlisting will begin after the closing date, with a written task followed by interviews (dates TBC).
We may appoint before the closing date if a suitable candidate is identified.
Start date: ideally mid-October 2026, subject to completion of security checks.
