ERA, the digital entertainment and retail association is a UK trade organisation formed specifically to act as a forum for the digital and physical retail sectors of the music, video and videogames industries. 

We are looking for an exceptional Policy Manager to join our team working alongside our CEO and Communications and Policy Team.

Key functions:
• Building and implementing ERA’s Government Affairs Agenda
• Building relations across the policy teams within ERA’s membership 
• Conducting advocacy efforts cross party and at all levels of government and policy making
• Providing input into legislative and policy initiatives and strategies related to specific policy objectives, including inter alia:
o Artificial Intelligence , digital replicas and related issues
o Music Streaming in particular fraud, transparency, metadata and creator remuneration
o Supporting high street retail, in particular the Independent Sector
• Representing ERA Policy in relation to related organisations such as Creative UK, DiMA and UK Music
• Establishing rapport with industry associations and trade organisations to ensure representation of ERA’s interests 
• Participating in industry and trade groups to develop and advocate for common industry positions
• Working with ERA and its members to understand their goals and objectives to ensure that government relations activities are aligned to their businesses
• Developing position papers and discussion guides
• Defining and implementing a European policy strategy

Requirements:
• 5 to 6 years plus working within a policy or public affairs focused role
• Experience in both developing and delivering a politically focused strategy
• Strong Political and Departmental relationships (in particular DCMS, DSIT and IPO)
• Ability to draft clear, engaging and persuasive written briefings and responses to consultations
• Knowledge of the music, creative industries and the wider entertainment and tech industries
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate clear arguments in political meetings
