We are looking for a Campaign Manager for the 2027 and 2028 Wokingham Borough elections, as well as for the next General Election in both Wokingham and the neighbouring Earley and Woodley Parliamentary constituencies.

This is a job share, based in Wokingham but employed by the Wokingham Borough party for four days each working week and by the Reading party for one day.

You will work with both parties’ local staff and volunteers, Clive Jones, the Liberal Democrat MP for Wokingham and the Parliamentary candidate for Earley and Woodley

The job will involve:-

  • Designing and implementing campaign plans for Wokingham and Reading Liberal Democrats.
  • Working on the design, production, printing, management and distribution of campaign literature, both printed and digital.
  • Recruiting and organising local volunteers for campaign activities, matching them with tasks and making them feel valued; assisting generally with communications and logistics with this group.
  • Communicating with members and supporters regarding party activities and events.
  • Member engagement, including phoning members and helping to organise newsletters.
  • Maintaining records and databases to a high standard of accuracy and timeliness, including data entry.
  • Manage the finances and paperwork of the Reading local election campaign.
  • Skills and Experience.
  • We are looking for candidates who are proactive “self starters” and can demonstrate:-
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience of working with volunteers individually and in large teams.
  • IT literacy and a willingness to learn.
  • A passion for politics and support for the values and aims of the Liberal Democrats.
  • It will be helpful if you have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle, but this is not a requirement.

The role may require you to work outside normal working hours where necessary and to travel for work occasionally. Our interview panel can discuss this with you.

Closing Date: 17 July 2026

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will be scheduled for the week commencing Monday 20th July 2026

We would like the successful candidate to start work in early September 2026, but this is negotiable.
