Job Details
The Appropriate Person will be a member who is removed from the day-to-day running of the Party.
They would not, for example, be a member or recent member of the Federal Board, Federal Council, Federal Finance and Resources Committee or Federal Communications and Elections Committee.
They could, for example, be a member of the Federal Policy Committee or Federal Conference Committee, but this role will require periods of significant time commitment that may not be compatible with the work of either committee.
They may hold other positions in their Local Party or Affiliated Organisation, and might be an elected representative or Peer (although parliamentarians are less likely to have the time to commit to this role).
We are looking for people with professional or voluntary experience of policy areas or professional areas related to whistleblowing/protected disclosures, or where there are strong transferable skills.
This could include, but is not limited to:
- Human resources.
- A legal background.
- Past experience working for or as a prescribed person.
- Standards work in local authorities.
- Legislative or scrutiny experience in the area of whistleblowing/protected disclosure.
- Experience of casework related to whistleblowing/protected disclosure.
