Job Title: Constituency Support Manager

Working For: Chris Webb MP (Blackpool South)

Location: Blackpool South

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Length of Contract: Permanent

Job Details

This is a senior role within the MP's constituency team. We're looking for an experienced, proactive individual with a proven track record of leading projects, building partnerships and delivering successful campaigns. The successful candidate will help shape the MP's engagement across Blackpool South, leading community initiatives, supporting strategic communications and ensuring a strong local presence.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead community engagement, building relationships with residents, community groups, charities, businesses and key stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain a constituency stakeholder and community engagement map.
* Lead constituency campaigns, projects and community initiatives from planning to delivery.
* Coordinate weekly Street Surgeries and the MP's regular "Chat with Chris" events.
* Plan and coordinate constituency literature distribution
* Produce and edit digital content, including graphics, photography and video
* Provide communications support during constituency visits and events
* Draft report backs, email newsletters and the Annual Report.
* Build productive relationships with local organisations and research issues affecting Blackpool South.
* Occasional evening and weekend working required.

Essential Skills and Experience

* Significant experience in a senior communications, campaigns, community engagement or project management role.
* Prior experience of organising and delivering campaigns and/or community engagement projects is essential.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver successful outcomes.
* Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience delivering communications across digital and social media platforms.
* Experience organising public events and stakeholder engagement activities.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* High levels of political awareness, discretion and professionalism.

Desirable Skills and Personal Qualities

* Experience in Parliament, local government, political campaigns, charities or a similar public-facing organisation.
* Strategic, creative and solutions-focused.
* Passionate about public service and committed to delivering excellent support for constituents.
* Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Labour Party.
