Job Details
Apsana Begum MP is looking to recruit an Executive Assistant with experience of diary and project management, for a time-limited period. The postholder will be required to work outside of normal working hours and primarily between Sundays and Thursdays.
Key responsibilities
Project management
- Resource and project management responsibilities for e.g. conceptualising itineries, organising and coordinating travel and meetings.
- Managing budgets and providing administrative management in relation to MP’s expenses scheme via IPSA Online for e.g. managing expenses, producing expense reports & submissions.
- Compilation of briefing packs based on working knowledge of relevant legislation and parliamentary business.
Executive support
- Providing executive support to the MP and interest groups as required for e.g. complex diary coordination.
- Proficient use Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Excel & SharePoint.
- Ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Holding and processing data and information confidentially, in line with GDPR
- Minute-taking.
Stakeholder liaison and management
- Engaging professionally, confidentially and diplomatically with senior level stakeholders through a variety of methods and maintaining positive ongoing relationships.
- Liaising with high-level interest groups and representatives including people from diverse backgrounds and without English as a first language.
- Dealing with complex queries, complaints & protocols, including drafting letters.

Please note that this role will be full-time or part-time depending on the start date agreed with the successful candidate, due to this role only being required for a time-limited period.
