Job Details

Sarah Jones MP is looking for a creative, proactive and detail-oriented Digital Content Creator to suggest, create and share compelling and engaging content for local residents.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team serving local people in Croydon West, supporting an active and impactful MP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver end-to-end high quality, high engagement, video content to promote the MP’s work and campaigns across the constituency– including content ideation, and filming and editing short-form and long-form pieces tailored for a range of channels, including Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok
• Accompany the MP to visits and events across the constituency, capturing and creating compelling content
• Produce visual assets for social media using software such as Canva
• Proactively lead on digital strategy, including planning, creating and developing engaging content across a wide range of channels
• Edit and subtitle video clips using tools such as TikTok and Capcut
• Suggest content ideas, formats and trends to grow reach and engagement

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Strong skills and experience in digital content creation and delivery
• ⁠Ability to spot trends and react quickly to news. Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and use initiative, with good attention to detail
• Analytics (understanding what content performs and why)
• Ability to translate policy into clear visual stories
