Job Details

Sureena Brackenridge MP is seeking a highly motivated, committed and compassionate individual to join her constituency office as a Senior Caseworker.
This key role will provide high-quality casework support to constituents, managing complex enquiries and ensuring effective resolution of a wide range of issues. The successful candidate will deliver excellent constituent service, work closely with the MP and wider office team, and support colleagues to advocate on behalf of residents working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include:
• Managing a complex and varied caseload, providing advice, support and advocacy to constituents on a wide range of issues
• Attending constituency surgeries, meetings and outreach activities to engage with residents
• Taking ownership of cases from enquiry through to resolution, ensuring actions are progressed promptly and records maintained
• Liaising with Government departments, Wolverhampton and Walsall Councils, public bodies, third sector organisations and other stakeholders to resolve enquiries effectively
• Identifying trends within casework and providing insight to support MP’s priorities
• Drafting professional correspondence, including letters, emails, briefings and documents on behalf of the MP
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and parliamentary procedures

Essential skills:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with a diverse range of constituents
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, complex cases and deadlines
• Excellent IT skills, including experience using casework management systems (the office uses Caseworker), Microsoft Office applications and online systems
• Ability to draft clear, accurate and professional correspondence
• Experience of managing casework and working with public services, advice agencies or similar organisations. Previous experience of working in an MP’s office is preferred
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and contribute positively as part of a small team
