Job Details
This is a fixed-term appointment to support LCCI's public affairs and advocacy activity. The Public Affairs Manager will support the design and delivery of our Autumn engagement campaign, build and maintain political and stakeholder relationships, represent LCCI's positions with external audiences, and deliver tangible advocacy outcomes for members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of LCCI's high-profile Autumn engagement campaign, and lead on additional campaigns as required.
- Provide day-to-day support across the Policy and Public Affairs team's work programme, prioritising activity as directed by the HoPPA.
- Support public affairs and advocacy activity for LCCI, developing and maintaining relationships with political and stakeholder audiences to represent the interests of members.
- Horizon scan across Westminster, City Hall and the wider political environment, identifying opportunities for LCCI's advocacy priorities.
- Maintain strong relationships with political contacts, London figures and other key stakeholders, producing stakeholder mapping as required.
- Assist with the production of LCCI outputs.
- Work with the team to deliver engaging, timely and professional public affairs events, such as cross-party panels and conference events.
- Lead on the Affiliate Chambers programme.
- Represent LCCI at external engagements and events.
- Support the delivery of LCCI's committees as required, including attendance at meetings on behalf of the PPA Team.
- Support media engagement relevant to public affairs and advocacy activity, including the drafting of press and digital materials as required.
- Undertake additional duties requested by the HoPPA or CEO.
