Vacancy 2 – Researcher (2 Posts)

Join our PRU and provide high-quality research, legislative analysis and parliamentary support for MSPs.

Key Responsibilities
• Produce concise research, policy and parliamentary briefings.
• Draft speeches, motions, Parliamentary Questions and lines to take.
• Analyse legislation, budgets, statistics and Government policy.
• Undertake FOI-led investigations and issue monitoring.
• Support debates, committee work and campaign priorities.

We're Looking For
• Experience in research, politics, policy, journalism or Parliament.
• Excellent writing, analysis and attention to detail.
• Strong grasp of Scottish politics and public policy.
• Able to work quickly, independently and accurately.

Help drive our media operation by producing clear, punchy and newsworthy communications. 

Key Responsibilities
• Write press releases, statements, op-eds and campaign copy.
• Handle media enquiries and build journalist relationships.
• Create sharp social and digital content.
• Monitor coverage, identify opportunities and manage rebuttal.
• Support campaigns, visits, events and rapid-response communications.

We're Looking For
• Experience in media, journalism, political communications or PR.
• Outstanding writing skills and strong news judgement.
• Politically aware, calm under pressure and deadline driven.
• Creative, proactive and comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
