The successful candidate will help ensure Steff’s time is well managed, commitments are properly planned and everyone contacting the office receives a prompt, compassionate and professional response.

• Support the casework team while maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
• Occasionally work outside normal hours or travel when required.

The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable and attentive to detail. They will remain calm when priorities change, communicate clearly, exercise sound judgement and treat people with patience and dignity. They should be confident using email, digital calendars, case-management systems and shared documents, and able to identify what requires routine handling, specialist casework or Steff’s attention.

Previous parliamentary experience is not essential. Relevant experience may come from public services, customer service, executive support or another demanding public-facing environment.

Steff’s team is committed to compassion, integrity and high-quality public service. Applications are welcomed from all backgrounds, and reasonable adjustments will be made throughout recruitment and employment.

The salary is £26,039 per annum, in accordance with IPSA guidelines. Appointment is subject to the Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
