We are seeking an External Affairs Adviser to support the delivery of our public affairs and stakeholder engagement activities. Working within our Corporate Affairs team, you will help build and maintain relationships with key political, governmental and industry stakeholders, monitor policy developments, and contribute to advocacy activities that support our members and the wider offshore energy industry.

What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a motivated and politically aware individual with experience in public affairs, policy, stakeholder engagement or communications who is keen to further develop their career in external affairs.
You will be a strong communicator with excellent research and analytical skills, capable of turning complex information into clear, concise and impactful briefings and communications.
You'll be skilled at building relationships and working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, while remaining organised and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- A genuine interest in politics, public policy and the UK's energy sector.
- The ability to build credibility with stakeholders and maintain productive professional relationships.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- A proactive approach to monitoring developments, identifying opportunities and supporting advocacy activities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

You are passionate about politics, policy and current affairs, with strong research, analytical and communication skills. Working Pattern
This is a full-time role working 9am –5pm, Monday to Friday in a hybrid office environment with additional hours worked as required for external affairs activities.
