Reporting to the CEO, the Corporate Affairs Manager will lead NASC's corporate affairs, public affairs, governance and stakeholder engagement activities, helping to strengthen the organisation's influence across government, industry and internationally. The role includes line management of the Corporate Affairs Executive and close collaboration with business development, marketing and PR colleagues.

Responsibilities include providing strategic support to the CEO and Executive Team, preparing briefings and reports, and coordinating engagement with ministers, parliamentarians, regulators and senior industry stakeholders. The postholder will lead public affairs activity, monitor political and policy developments, develop policy positions and consultation responses, and deliver lobbying and stakeholder engagement campaigns that support NASC's strategic objectives.

A central aspect of the role is establishing and supporting the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for the scaffolding and access sector. This includes organising meetings and events, preparing evidence and briefing materials, liaising with MPs, Peers and government departments, and ensuring APPG activity advances NASC's policy priorities and sector profile.

The role also supports the International Access and Scaffolding Association (IASA), coordinating international engagement, governance arrangements, communications and strategic projects that enhance NASC's global influence.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing committee governance, supporting committee chairs and executive leads, monitoring performance against objectives, ensuring compliance with governance procedures, and acting as the key link between committees and the Executive Team.

Candidates should have significant experience in corporate affairs, public affairs, government relations or senior executive support, with strong stakeholder management, governance and communication skills. Knowledge of parliamentary processes, political awareness, project management capability and leadership experience are essential. Experience within a trade association, membership body, or the construction and infrastructure sectors would be advantageous. The role requires regular UK travel, occasional international travel and attendance at some out-of-hours events.
